Who We Are
The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) supports the formation of neighborhood associations, provides advocacy for neighborhood issues and concerns, and aspires to make neighborhoods in Monroe County safe, welcoming and desirable places in which to live. CONA meetings are currently held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Everyone is welcome!
Call for nominations to serve on the CONA Executive Committee
The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) is accepting nominations for four positions on the CONA Executive Committee: Chair, Secretary, and two At-large committee members. The terms for these roles are two years and will begin in January 2025. The duties of each office can be found in the CONA bylaws
Nominations are open to any resident of a neighborhood that has a neighborhood organization recognized by CONA. Any neighborhood organization registered with the City of Bloomington, Town of Ellettsville, or Monroe County Government has automatic membership in CONA.
Previous experience with CONA is not required to serve on the Executive Committee. To nominate yourself or someone else, please send a message to conanominations@gmail.com through 6:00 pm on September 24, 2024.
A slate of candidates will be discussed during the September general meeting on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, starting at 6:45 pm. Nominations will also be accepted during the meeting. Please plan to Zoom in to the September CONA meeting as the re-boot continues.
The election will be held during the October CONA general meeting on October 8, 2024, starting at 6:45 pm.
