CONA survey regarding rental property code and enforcement

Please complete this short survey about rental properties in single family neighborhoods and share it with your neighborhood association or anyone else you believe would be concerned about this issue. This survey does not refer to multi-family residences such as apartment complexes.

The Council of Neighborhood Associations (CONA) strives to keep abreast of concerns and issues in the various neighborhoods in and around Bloomington. We have open discussions in our monthly meetings and work to give everyone a voice.

In core neighborhoods where rental properties constitute a large percentage of the total population, rental properties have a large effect on the quality of life. The City maintains occupancy codes which help mitigate some concerns, while some problems slip through the cracks. Enforcement can be difficult, and we intend to learn what you’ve experienced so that we get a clearer idea of effects and what might help.
